Duty to protect

Energinet’s primary role is to protect Denmark’s supply of gas and sometimes Energinet must to enter the market to maintain order and fulfill this important task.

 

Market-based measures

Energinet realises that its actions may impact the market. Thus, whenever Energinet supports the supply-side through application of market based tools, Energinet will send out a REMIT message to keep the market informed of Energinet's actions and possible interference.

 

Non-market-based measures

Should a supply emergency ever arise, which would allow Energinet to use non-market based measures, Energinet will notify the market through its REMIT message system.
