Energinet prepares the Strategy Plan for its owner, the Danish Minister for Energy, Utilities and Climate. It summarises Energinet’s mission, vision, goals and focus areas for a period of up to three years.

Summary

The Strategy Plan 2008 describes the overall direction of Energinet and the company's contribution to the development of the electricity and gas systems.

It states the following focus for the company:

  • Mission: As the entity responsible for the electricity and natural gas systems we own the overall energy infrastructure, ensure reliable energy supply and create the framework for well-functioning energy markets and effective integration of renewable energy.
  • Vision: Using international and preferably market-based solutions, we will facilitate the increased use of renewable energy and help to solve the global energy and climate challenges.

The Plan sets the strategic course of Energinet's activities for 2008-2010.
