Whistleblower Scheme

Under Energinet’s whistleblower scheme, employees and external parties with a relation to Energinet can freely report irregularities or violations of rules committed by Energinet’s employees, management, Board of Directors or suppliers. The scheme ensures full anonymity for those wishing to report any suspicions outside the usual communication channels. However, please note that if you state your name or contact information in the actual reporting, we may be obliged to disclose the information as we are subject to the rules on access to documents. You can read more about how you can protect your identity under the section ' How can we protect whistleblower anonymity'.

What to report?

You have the possibility to report breaches of law and our corporate social responsibilities such as bribery, embezzlement, accounting fraud, serious breach of work safety, discrimination etc. You may also report the circumstances which have resulted in substantial personal or environmental damage.

Less serious issues like bullying, dissatisfaction with pay, etc. should not be reported in this system but will instead be transmitted through the normal channels (through your manager, HR department or your employee representative).

How to report?

It is important that you describe all the facts - even the fact you do not think is very important.

Please where possible demonstrate your claim. If you have written documentation in the form of a document, please attach the document in digital form.

Anonymity

When you send a report, you can choose that you want to follow the proceedings.

It can be a good idea to follow the proceedings, as the people processing a report may need to ask clarifying questions for you to move forward with the investigation. Everything is completely anonymous.

Everything can be done completely anonymous. You get assigned a case number and choose a password. This means that you can submit further material and answer questions without compromising the anonymity.

Please note that in order for us to protect your identity, you must not enter the name or contact information in the actual notification.

REPORTS RECEIVED UNDER THE SCHEME ANONYMITY

ACCORDING TO SECTION 27 OF THE WHISTLEBLOWER ACT, ENERGINET MUST AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR PUBLISH INFORMATION ABOUT ITS ACTIVITIES UNDER THE DANISH WHISTLEBLOWER ACT.

In 2022, there were three reports to Energinet's whistleblower scheme, all of which have been processed on a reality basis.

The reality treatment showed that there was no evidence for the claims reported which concerned return commissions, sexual harassment and irregularities in connection with employment
