A flexible workplace

A FLEXIBLE WORKPLACE OUT OF THE ORDINARY

When you walk through the door at Energinet, you will find that the sky is the limit – in more ways than one. You will have plenty of responsibility and will experience great flexibility in how you plan your working day – in the open plan office, when working from home or elsewhere. This applies regardless of whether you are a recent graduate or highly experienced.

Our culture is informal and supports learning. We share knowledge across departments and disciplines to create optimal solutions, and if you need a sounding board and input from a colleague, help is always at hand. Our coffee shop and open atrium buzz with life and conversations when we meet at the office.

FLEXIBILITY 2.0

We have raised working life flexibility to a new level. With us, you get a very high degree of freedom to organise your working life so that it works optimally for you. We have no fixed limit for how many days you can work from home, or for when you have to put in your working hours. We believe that a workplace where you can carry out your tasks where and when you want to provides greater well-being and better results. We trust our employees and managers to show responsibility in jointly finding the best solutions for the individual and for Energinet as an enterprise

Our flexibility is strongly linked to our focus on increasing the decision-making power of our organisation and authorising the individual employee to make decisions. With the flexible workplace, we want to free up people’s resources, commitment and job satisfaction, so that we can continue to deliver on our exciting tasks – also in a rapidly changing future. Greater opportunities for working from home can give you a healthier life balance and minimise time wasted on transport and carbon emissions. In connection with the flexible workplace, we therefore offer you everything you need for your home workstation, including furniture and IT equipment, so you also have the best starting point for a good working environment at home.

YOUR WELL-BEING IS IMPORTANT

We take pride in having motivated and healthy employees who thrive in the workplace. Exercise and good health result in more energy, greater job satisfaction and fewer sick days. That is why we have a number of health ambassadors throughout the organisation, and our canteens offer healthy and varied breakfast, lunch and fruit every day. At the workplace, you can book an appointment with a physiotherapist and exercise in our popular fitness room, which offers individual and group training. In addition, you are automatically covered by medical treatment insurance when you work for us.

Nobody should become sick from going to work, and this means that we also work actively with prevention and management of stress and dissatisfaction. Every other year we conduct an Employee Satisfaction Survey (MTU), where you have the opportunity to provide your input to management and the organisation, so that together we can ensure an even better working environment. The survey shows that the majority of employees at Energinet are proud of their workplace – and we take pride in this as an enterprise!

A SOCIAL WORKPLACE

It means a lot to us that you find your work assignments interesting and challenging. However, we also believe that it is important for work colleagues to enjoy social activities that are not work-related.

We have a highly active staff association – Gnisten – which organises a wide range of activities over the course of the year. Gnisten’s events are highly varied and there is something for every taste and age. Examples include an art association, sports association, Friday bar and events such as the ‘Rock under broen’ music festival, an excursion with the family to Legoland or a skiing holiday in Austria. At least once a year, we meet from all our physical workplaces for a festive group event.
