ENERGINET REPEALS THE CAPACITY CONVERSION OPTION IN RELATION TO ENTRY POINTS IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GAS TRANSPORT FOLLOWING REGULATOR’S INITIATION OF AN ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURE
Yesterday, the Danish Utility Regulator (DUR) initiated an enforcement procedure regarding Energinet’s recent change of Terms and Conditions for Gas Transport regarding ‘Capacity conversion in relation to Entry Points’, i.e. DUR draft decision of 16 November 2022. The draft decision states that Terms and Conditions are subject to regulatory approval before introduction. Following this, Energinet will remove the service from Terms and Conditions for Gas Transport as of today (17 November 2022) until further notice.
For now, all requests Energinet has received regarding this service is cancelled.
Energinet has already submitted a method application to the Danish Utility Regulator regarding the introduction of this new service and hopes that the Danish Utility Regulator will be able to publish a decision quickly.
If the decision from the Danish Utility Regulator is positive, Energinet will reintroduce the service as fast as possible.
