Capacity, nomination, allocation and balancing

Shippers can book capacity in the gas transmission system on a yearly, quarterly, monthly or daily basis. Secondary trading can also be booked as assignment or transfer of use. Shippers balance the gas system on an hourly basis. They nominate their expected gas requirements and are allocated after specifications specified by Energinet. Energinet is responsible for matching amounts with adjacent systems.

Terms and conditions for booking and allocation of capacity is described in clause 5 of the General Terms and Conditions. Secondary bookings in clause 5.2.3 and 5.2.4. Also handling of bottlenecks in the gas system and measures to prevent hoarding is mentioned.

Nomination, allocation and balancing

Shippers balance the gas system on an hourly basis. They nominate their expected gas requirements by AS4/edigas communication and are allocated after specifications specified by Energinet. Energinet is responsible for matching amounts with adjacent systems. Nomination is also possible via Energinet Online.
