COUNTERTRADE: INTRADAY MODEL DESIGN ONLINE MEETING

Energinet hereby invites stakeholders to give input to the design of an intraday countertrade model following workshop 1, 2 and 3 on alternative countertrade models.

Today, Energinet uses the regulating power market, i.e. special regulation, to conduct countertrade at our borders. Going forward Energinet plans use the intraday market to conduct countertrade at our borders.

Energinet has drafted a description of the design of a new intraday countertrade model with input from adjacent TSOs and market participants who were interested in bilateral Intraday design meetings.

The draft design document will be uploaded to this page one week prior to the intraday countertrade design meeting to ensure a common understanding of the design, and to facilitate a market dialogue and feedback on the design.

The document is a working document, and changes may occur before, under and after the design meeting.

The Intraday countertrade design meeting will be held online, why Energinet encourages market participants to contact Energinet for further bilateral meetings if relevant.

Timeline
The intraday countertrade methodology will be published when initiating the public consultation in May. A dialog meeting will be scheduled for in June, and the Intraday countertrade methodology will be amended based on feedback and submitted for regulatory approval before the summer holidays.
